The Politics Show was launched in 2003, and in England it replaced the various regional Sunday politics programming previously in place. Programmes such as Northwestminster (BBC North West) and Midlands@Westminster (BBC Midlands) each had their own format and presentation, and from 2003 onwards the Politics Show regional inserts unified the look of these programmes.
