Look North (NE and Cumbria)
Look North is the regional news programme serving BBC One in the North East & Cumbria. The main 30 minute programme is anchored by Carol Malia.
The BBC North East & Cumbria region was formed in the early 1990s (although wasn't branded as such until 1997) when the Cumbria region - which had previously been served by BBC North West - was transferred to BBC North East. The evening bulletin regularly out-rates its ITV rivals, North East Tonight and Lookaround.
The latest Look North presentation package was designed by branding agency Lambie-Nairn and launched in April 2008.
