From 18 February 2007, presentation on BBC 2W mainly consisted of rebranded versions of that used on network BBC2.

BBC 2W started integrating the most popular network BBC2 programmes into its evening schedule from 2007 onwards. Promos for these programmes, or indeed for local programmes carried on both Welsh services, alternated between a BBC2 Wales and a BBC 2W branded box during the promo.

Idents used during the final two Christmases on BBC 2W were a mixture of rebranded network versions, and special idents based on the 'window' theme, but used on the Welsh digital station only.

Wales Today on 2W continued to be shown at 9.30pm until the end of 2008, but by this time presentation and style had become the same as the main BBC1 Wales bulletins. Jayne James (then Case) also took a more usual role presenting, making a break from her position on Breakfast bulletins. Friday evening's programme was dedicated mainly to sport as was renamed Sport Extra.
