4Music is a music channel in the United Kingdom and available on some digital television providers in the Republic of Ireland. It is the only channel within the Box Television Network to be branded under Channel 4 and the only channel in the network to be broadcast in widescreen. The channel replaced The Hits. The channel is Free to Air (FTA) on Digital Terrestrial (Freeview), but a pay subscription channel on Digital Satellite (Sky Digital) despite all of its sister Channels (excluding 4 HD) having moved from subscription to FTA on Satellite. The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day with teleshopping shown on the channel from 05:30 to 08:30 weekdays and 05:00 to 08:00 weekends.
