On 24th July 2006, shortly following the rebranding of Grampian to STV (North) on 30th May, a new look to the news bulletins was also unveiled. The set and graphics were identical to those introduced in the former Scottish region, now STV (Central). From 8th January 2007 onwards, opts were introduced mid-way for Fife/Perthshire/Angus from Dundee, and Highlands/Islands and the North East from Aberdeen. From March 2008, weather provision was switched to the Met Office, and Sean Batty became the in-vision weather presenter (Jo Farrow is also seen on this page as a stand in).
