As part of a company wide rebranding programme which saw the Sky logo tweaked to make it appear friendlier, a modified Sky Sports logo and presentation package was introduced on Wednesday 6th January 2010. Also on this day, Sky Sports Xtra was finally rebranded as Sky Sports 4 following years of rumour and speculation.
