The ‘UKTV’ network launched on 1 November 1997 with three new channels; arts channel ‘UK Arena’, lifestyle channel ‘UK Style’ and documentary channel ‘UK Horizons’. UK Gold retained its name but received a new look in line with the rest of the network.
